Ladle Carrier

A steel mill operations company was trying to determine a way to make the operation of cleaning out steel ladles safer for personnel. Cleaning the ladles inside of a roller mill building was creating unacceptable working conditions. Standard Engineering designed a machine that allowed the company to modify operations so that this cleaning operation could be completed in a safe and acceptable working condition. Structural design and hydraulic design were key focus areas for this project, as the structure would need to support over 100 tons of weight and the hydraulic system needed to be able to pour the contents being cleaned from the 100+ ton load.
